2013 Total winning season

2013 turned out to be the best Young bird season Ever for Pompano Beach loft. We won it all! Champion Loft, average speed, champion bird, the band race and 3 other races.
My grizzles have evolved into super racers. 2014 breeding will develop the grizzles even further because I have identified the lines that produce and now I can concentrate on breeding out of the best pairings. The young bird team is for sale at racing pigeons for sale

Young Bird Season heating up

Ahead in the points for champion loft, I find the competition nipping at my heals. The racing pigeons are in peak condition and ready for the longer races. The weather has been bitter and I am waiting for the North winds to start blowing. The strong east winds have put my birds at a disadvantage. Still looking for the first win but I feel it coming.

Didn't get the win but its coming. I am just waiting for the wind to be blowing my way and the win will blow my way too.

2011 young bird season

I think this year is going to be a good year with some good pigeons. They are locked up now with their flight feathers pulled out. A few more weeks and they can start flying again. They have already been flown out to 20 miles.

Well the season is over and the last race was successful. Finished 3rd 5th 6th 8th 9th.  See results

Last YB race of the season

This is the last YB race until next year. I wasn't thinking I would race this week but The birds are feeling great, they are over all the illnesses and are flying high. This Saturday is a 350 mile race with NW winds in my favor. I will send the birds that haven't really scored well and my top birds can relax and start thinking about making babies. I trained yesterday 50 miles and released the birds in groups of three.
 I am hoping that I have a sleeper bird. A bird that hasn't done anything yet but has just come into condition and will pull out a win. This has been a good season but our club has been deprived of the combine results. The guys in Miami have not turned the results into the AU and getting them from the club has been a source of aggravation.
 My breeders have gone together thanksgiving weekend and I suppose I will start a blog on breeding after this weekend.

Trained twice this week 45 miles. Birds did start feeling better on Tues.
